Buzzflix

We don’t teach filmmaking—we make films with the people who define what comes next.

“Working with Buzzflix has given me the great privilege of writing my first film while simultaneously growing as a writer. With great support all around, Buzzflix provides me with an amazing opportunity not many students ever have the chance to even get close to, let alone actually do.”

"Four months and four feature films later, today concludes the first Buzzflix summer! I’ll always remember what an amazing experience and growing opportunity this summer has been. Thank you to the whole Buzzflix family and everyone I’ve made such incredible friendships and memories with. Buzzflix believed in my potential and taught me more in one summer than I’ve learnt in years."

I’m endlessly grateful to Buzzflix and all of their incredible mentors for giving us the opportunity to experiment, learn, make mistakes, and grow in a feature film environment.  And, of course, I’m most grateful for the 70+ people I had the chance to meet, befriend and collaborate with along the way."

"By far the greatest thing about this summer was all the amazing people I got to work with on set. Absolutely stoked to have made so many new buddies and I can’t wait to work with each and every one of you again."

"I’ve learned so much about the film industry, but the biggest highlight was discovering my passion for the art department. Over the past few months, I had the opportunity to: Work as assistant set decorator, art swing and a production assistant, learn the ins and outs of sourcing, help translate visions to reality, work on THREE feature films, and build my network of passionate creatives. I feel so fortunate to be growing alongside my fellow BuzzFlixians in this industry!"

"Buzzflix offered me the opportunity to write my first film while still in film school, which has been one of the most significant experiences of my creative journey so far. Tony and the team created an environment where emerging filmmakers are given real responsibility. The scale of the project challenged me immensely, and I’ve grown so much as a writer through Buzzflix."

"Another summer gone, and I couldn’t have spent it a better way. I had the pleasure of location sound mixing 3 of 4 Buzzflix feature films. I also did sound utility on the 4th. On top of all the experience I gained, I made so many memories and met so many people that I will be keeping as friends. Thank you to everyone for everything this summer."

Our Goal

Buzzflix is a student-driven film initiative designed to create high-quality, digital-native films while providing paid, real-world experience to emerging filmmakers. Our goal is to remove the financial and structural barriers that prevent young creatives from gaining meaningful industry experience and to replace them with opportunity, equity, and mentorship.
